Helena Hoayun is a Guyanese American author of Indian and Chinese descent who writes fantasy and science fiction for children, teens, and adults. Her books often take on a darker edge, but they are always rounded out with a splash of humor or romance.
Born in New York, she moved to hot and sunny Florida, where she frequently dreams of snow. Despite living only ten minutes from the beach, Helena spends most of her time indoors creating art or music, binge-playing too many video games, and catching up on all things nerdy.
